Mutual Learning Event: Foresight for Research & Innovation policy

Technology Centre Prague is a member of the consortium of the Horizont Evropa "Eye of Europe" project, which is primarily intended to improve the involvement of foresight methods and forward-looking activities in policy making in the field of research and innovation in Europe.

Foresight methods are becoming an important part of policy-making in the European Union, and research and innovation policy-makers at the European and national level recognized the potential of foresight as the first in Europe to work with challenges and opportunities for future direction of policies, strategies and for the creation of research and innovation programs.

The "Eye of Europe" project brings together 14 partners from 11 European countries with different levels of institutionalization and involvement of the foresight community in the field of research and innovation in support of the decision-making process and aims to strengthen the functioning of this community, improve the use of foresight and closer involvement of society in policy making.

TC Praha is dedicated to the use of foresight methods and the involvement of citizens in the creation of research and innovation policies and strategies in the long term, it will use its experience in the parts of the project dedicated to the training of these methods and their applications.

The first event organized by TC Prague in cooperation with the Office of the Government of the Slovak Republic is Mutual Learning Event: Foresight for Research & Innovation policy: emerging practices. The workshop will take place on 23 May 2024 in Bratislava, presenting foresight activities in a European research context and bringing a comparison of the involvement of foresight in policy making in countries such as Slovakia, Finland, Germany and Sweden.
